Di Costa SpA is a Sicilian confectionery company born out of a dream to create a business in his home country. Vincenzo Di Costa, a boy of 17 years old, perhaps a bit imprudent but certainly tenacious with a clear aim to pursue, leaves Sicily and goes to Belgium, France and some cities of northern Italy to follow theoretical stages and activities related to the processing of chocolates, jams and bakery products. After deciding that he has learnt enough, he returned to Sicily and started a small workshop producing marzipan fruit, which he promotes and sells to the best Italian stores. Di Costa Vincenzo "Sicilian Sweet Industry" was founded in 1986, then the new headquarters of the plant was inaugurated in Francavilla di Sicilia, its hometown in 1995. In 2008 the company became a Spa and Anna Di Costa, her sister assumed the role of general manager.
With great pride in ownership, Di Costa is currently an important and prominent part of the Italian confectionery landscape.
