Going Down Under

TANGS heads down under to take a look at some of the best designs from the vast range of brands available there. All the way from Australia, we present C/MEO COLLECTIVE, Keepsake, Finders Keepers and The Fifth Label. Individually, they represent different things and have a very unique style that varies from each other; collectively they showcase the vast talent that Australia has to offer.

Spotted on style influencers and celebrities like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Emma Roberts, C/MEO COLLECTIVE was founded in 2010. Head Designer Siham Elmawey has truly embodied the vision to supply experimental designs to dictate future taste, finding inspiration through the use of directional prints, premium fabrics and bold silhouettes.

Every collection is independent from the other, but as a whole they form a collage of wearable innovations.  She wants every C/MEO girl to live by the same saying that she lives by, “to feel as inspired wearing the garments as I do when I design them.”

Using herself as a basis for her designs, Brand Manager and Head Designer Carmen Dugan’s dedication to the brand can be seen through the fact that no design goes into production unless she is certain she will wear them. Founded in 2011, Keepsake the Label has transformed the way we look at evening wear, by finding the right balance between detail and simplicity in each garment.

Seen on Mila Kunis, Reese Witherspoon and Alexa Vega, the Keepsake girl is one who can interpret high fashion trends in her own way. Carmen wants every girl to remember that “it’s not about what you wear but how you wear it and how it makes you feel.”

Found in some of the most prestigious retailers worldwide like Harrods, TopShop, Nordstrom and ASOS, Finders Keepers has stuck true to its ethos of providing high street designs in quality on-trend shapes and fabrics.

Creative Director Melanie Flintoft ensures that each collection carries a carefully curated range of styles that fit all occasions. This means that every collection will have a print, shape or texture that caters for casual daywear to sophisticated evening looks. This definitely puts Finders Keepers as one of the world’s most sought after fashion labels.

“The Fifth girl is confident and a bit of a tomboy, but still girly at heart. I find a lot of my own personal style has definitely seeped into the designs. I like to dress comfortably, but still look polished.” - Head Designer Amy Hicks.

Founded in 2014, The Fifth Label exudes versatility, using original prints and an accessible colour palette to support a laid back sensibility to clothing focusing on quality and wearability.
