2. Are there any fees to join the TANGS Membership programme?

TANGS Membership is complimentary. Sign up here to become a TANGS Insider and get an automatic upgrade to a Classic Membership with a minimum S$80 nett spend excluding GST in a single receipt, or an upgrade to a Preferred Membership with a minimum of S$5,000 nett spend excluding GST over a period of 12 months.

3. How do I sign up to be a TANGS Member?

To sign up, simply fill up here or download the TANGS Mobile App to register as TANGS Member. Alternatively, you may approach our Customer Service counters in-stores at TANGS at Tang Plaza or TANGS VivoCity. Our Customer Service team will be able to assist you with your application.

4. Do I have to live in Singapore to be a TANGS Member?

No, you do not need to live in Singapore to be a TANGS Member. Tourists are welcome to sign up as well.

5. Do I need to have a TANGS Membership card?

No, you do not need to collect a TANGS Membership card. Please download the TANGS Mobile App and present your Virtual TANGS Member Card upon payment to enjoy all benefits of the TANGS Membership programme.

6. Can I have more than one TANGS Membership account?

You may only register for one membership account at any one time. This membership is non-transferable.

10. How do I qualify to be a Classic or Preferred Member?

Your TANGS Insider status will be automatically upgraded to a Classic Membership with a minimum S$80 nett spend excluding GST in a single receipt, or upgraded to a Preferred Membership with a minimum of S$5,000 nett spend excluding GST over a period of 12 months.

11. Will my TANGS Membership expire?

No, your TANGS Membership will not expire. However, there are conditions in place to maintain each membership tier.

a. Insider
Your TANGS Insider status never expires.

b. Classic
A Classic Membership is valid for 12 months. You must make at least one purchase before the expiry date to extend your Classic Membership status for another 12 months. Otherwise, your Classic Membership will be converted to Insider status. However, you will be upgraded to a Classic Membership again as soon as you make a minimum of S$80 nett spend excluding GST in a single receipt.

c. Preferred
Preferred Membership is valid for 1 year. Your Preferred Membership may be extended for another year if, before the expiry date, you incur a minimum Nett Spend of $5,000 to extend the Preferred Membership for another year. If you incur Nett Spend of less than $5,000 before the expiry date, your Preferred Membership will automatically convert to a Classic Membership. If you incur no Nett Spend before the expiry date, your Preferred Membership will automatically convert to a Classic Membership.

12. How do I track my accumulated expenditure if I wish to become a Preferred Member?

You can track your accumulated expenditure in the “My Account” section when you log in via TANGS.com or the TANGS Mobile App. Alternatively, you may approach our Customer Service Counters in-store for assistance.

13. When can I start earning TANGS$?

You can start earning TANGS$ upon your membership upgrades to Classic or Preferred Membership status. Simply download the TANGS Mobile App and present your Virtual TANGS Member Card upon payment to earn your TANGS$..

14. Is there a minimum spend to earn TANGS$?

Transactions nett spend excluding GST must be S$10 and above to earn TANGS$.

15. How do I earn TANGS$?

Every eligible S$10** nett spend excluding GST at TANGS at Tang Plaza spendings at F&B outlets are not entitled to earn rebates unless otherwise stated, TANGS VivoCity and TANGS.com entitles you to earn a 6% rebate** or TANGS$0.60 if you are a Classic Member, or a 10% rebate** or TANGS$1.00 if you are a Preferred Member. Exclusions apply, please refer to question no. 18 for the list of exclusions.

**TANGS$ are earned only on the nett spend excluding GST paid after any applicable discounts, TANGS Gift Cards, TANGS vouchers, other promotional vouchers or redemption of previously-earned TANGS$. Nett spend is rounded down to the nearest $10 for purposes of calculating rebate.

16. When I purchase a TANGS Gift Card, does it count toward my total accumulated expenditure, and does it qualify for earning TANGS$?

Purchases of TANGS Gift Cards do count towards your total accumulated expenditure, and will qualify for earning TANGS$ depending on your membership status. Subsequent purchases that are paid for using TANGS Gift Cards will not earn further TANGS$.

17. What are 12% Rebate Days?

On 12% Rebate Days, both Classic and Preferred Members will earn a 12% rebate on every S$10 nett spend excluding GST in-stores and on TANGS.com (instead of the usual 6% for Classic Members or 10% rebate for Preferred Members). This is applicable on all purchases made on 12% Rebate Days.

18. What are the brands or products that do not qualify for earning or redeeming TANGS$?

Certain departments, brands and services are excluded from the benefits and offers of the TANGS Membership Programme, including but not limited to those listed below. TANGS reserves the right to revise the list of exclusions from time to time without prior notice. Please contact our Customer Service team for an updated list of exclusions.

Members cannot earn TANGS$ for:

  • Purchases at F&B outlets at TANGS (unless otherwise stated)
  • Purchases paid in installment
  • Delivery fees
  • Alteration services

 

Members cannot redeem TANGS$ for:

  • Purchases at F&B outlets at TANGS (unless otherwise stated)
  • Purchases of Chanel merchandise

19. Are my TANGS$ transferable?

TANGS$ are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

20. When do my TANGS$ expire?

Your TANGS$ expire 12 months after they are earned. For example, TANGS$ earned on any date in November 2017 will expire on 31 October 2018.

21. What happens to my unredeemed TANGS$ after they expire?

Expired TANGS$ will be forfeited.

22. What happens to my TANGS$ if I return the items I purchased?

TANGS$ earned on the transaction will be deducted from your account accordingly should you return your purchase. In the event that the TANGS$ have been redeemed and your account has insufficient TANGS$ for deduction, the TANGS$ balance in your account will be deducted in full and the shortfall in TANGS$ will be deducted from the purchase price to be refunded to you for the returned item.

23. I do not see TANGS$ credited into my TANGS Membership account instantly after completing a transaction. What do I do?

Please contact our TANGS Customer Service team immediately at (65) 6737 5500 or email us at customer_service@tangs.com to investigate the matter. Please provide the supporting receipt(s) or transaction numbers to facilitate the investigation.

24. How can I redeem my TANGS$?

You can redeem your TANGS$ on your next purchase in-store or on TANGS.com.

In-store:
Simply present your Virtual TANGS Member Card available on the TANGS Mobile App upon payment to redeem your TANGS$.

TANGS.com
To redeem your TANGS$ on TANGS.com, first click to view your shopping cart. Then, simply click on “CLICK HERE TO USE YOUR REBATES” found under your order summary, and enter the amount of TANGS$ to be redeemed upon checkout.

25. Is there a maximum TANGS$ amount I can redeem in one order?

No, there is no limit to the amount of TANGS$ you can redeem in one transaction.

26. How do I check my TANGS$ balance?

Your TANGS$ balance will be shown at the bottom of your receipt with every transaction made at TANGS at Tang Plaza, TANGS VivoCity, or on TANGS.com. Alternatively, you can log in to TANGS.com or download the TANGS Mobile App to check your TANGS$ balance and manage your membership account.

27. Is my old TANGS Fashion Lifestyle Card still valid?

Yes, you can continue to use your TANGS Fashion Lifestyle Card in-store. However, we strongly encourage you to switch to using  your Virtual TANGS Member Card available on the TANGS Mobile App.

28. My TANGS Card is damaged/lost/stolen. What do I do?

In the event your physical TANGS Card is damaged, lost or stolen, please contact our Customer Service team immediately to suspend your physical TANGS Card and file a report with the Singapore Police.  Please note that we do not issue physical TANGS Card anymore and you may access your Virtual TANGS Member Card through the TANGS mobile app.

29. I have forgotten my online password. How do I retrieve it?

You can retrieve your TANGS Membership account password on TANGS.com. Click here and enter your registered email address. You will be sent a link to recover your password.

30. When will I receive my Birthday Treats?

You will receive your Birthday Treats via email or SMS on the first day of your birthday month. Please ensure you have given consent for us to communicate with you via your preferred methods of communication.

If you have signed up for your TANGS Membership account in your birthday month, you will not receive any email or SMS. However, your treats are still valid and available for redemption in-store if you are a Classic or Preferred Member. Simply inform the cashier and you will receive all birthday privileges upon on-site system verification.

31. How do I cancel my TANGS Membership account?

To cancel your TANGS Membership account, please contact Customer Service at (65) 6737 5500 or email us at customer_service@tangs.com Please note your personal details will be deleted from our system, and all unredeemed TANGS$ will be forfeited.
